ENHANCING STUDENT’S VOCABULARY THROUGH KIDS SONG OFFLINE APPLICATION AT THE 5TH GRADE OF SDN 10 MAKALE

Afrilianti Elma Lapatau 2024. “Enhancing Students Vocabulary Through Kids Song Offline Application at The 5th Grade of SDN 10 Makale” (supervised by Sushy Teko Patanduk, S.S, M.Pd and Shilfani, M.Pd).
This thesis focused on teaching English especially teaching vocabulary to the 5th grade students at SDN 10 Makale. The problem statement of the research is the Kids Song Offline Application effectively used in Teaching English to 5th grade students of SDN 10 Makale and the purpose of this study is to find out whether kids song offline application can enhance the vocabulary of 5th grade students of SDN
10 Makale.
This thesis applied pre-experimental method. The writer got the score by using a test namely pre-test and post-test. The population of this research was the student of the 5th grade of SDN 10 Makale. The sample was taken by using total
sampling. The number of sample was 35 students.
The result of this research showed that there was significant difference in pre- test and post-test after using this method. The result of the data analysis showed
that the mean score of pre test was 44.43 and the mean score of post test 84.89 it shows that the mean score of post test higher than the mean score of pre test. Comparing with the t-test value at the level significance on a 5% (0.05) it was higher than t-table with degree freedom (df) = n-1. If found that t-test (14.233 )value is higher than t-table(1.691). The explanation shows that H0 is refused than H1 is
accepted. It was concluded that the use of kids song offline application can enhance the English vocabulary of 5 th grade students at SDN 10 Makale.
