Abstract

Abstract
This research aims to analyze employee work discipline at the Mappak District Office, Tana Toraja
Regency. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques
through interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show that employee work
discipline at the Mappak District Office is still not optimal. Several indicators of work discipline that
still need to be improved include: attendance, compliance with regulations, responsibility and
initiative. Factors that influence employee work discipline include the leadership of the sub-district
head, enforcement of rules, employee motivation and work culture. Based on these findings, efforts
are needed to improve employee work discipline through strengthening the supervisory function,
providing fair rewards and punishment, as well as increasing employee motivation and
competence. Implementation of this strategy is expected to increase the productivity and
performance of sub-district offices in providing quality public services.
