Abstract
The independent curriculum is a curriculum that has been implemented since 2022. The independent curriculum is basically a development of the 2013 curriculum which aims to develop students' character and morals. The aim of this research is to determine the implementation of the independent curriculum implemented by teachers in elementary schools. Research data was obtained by observation, interviews and documentation. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this research show that the planning for implementing the independent curriculum at UPT SDN 6 Mengkendek at all stages of implementing the independent curriculum can be implemented well. However, in this planning several obstacles were encountered, especially in the development of teaching modules, teachers encountered obstacles in terms of limited reference materials, lack of teacher understanding. itself regarding an independent curriculum, and adapting teaching modules to the characteristics of students. The implementation of formative and summative tests has not run optimally because they have to be adjusted to the students' initial abilities. Insufficient supporting facilities and infrastructure are also a major obstacle in the teaching and learning process at UPT SDN 6 Mengkendek.
