Abstract
The utilization of renewable energy in agriculture is increasingly important due to rising energy demands and the need for efficiency. This study aims to analyze the power characteristics of polycrystalline solar panels as an energy source for a rice cleaner system controlled by a potentiometer. The system employs solar panels to drive a cleaning motor, with a potentiometer used to regulate motor speed. Data were collected through measurements of voltage, current, and power under varying potentiometer resistance levels. Results indicate that decreasing resistance increases power output, with an efficiency gain of up to 13.53%. Regression analysis revealed a strong negative correlation between resistance and current (R² = 0.7980), voltage (R² = 0.8483), and power (R² = 0.9575). These findings suggest that the potentiometer is effective in controlling power distribution from the solar panel,
enhancing energy efficiency in agricultural applications. This system has the potential to be an environmentally friendly solution for post-harvest mechanization in rural areas.
